The Art of a Dutch Vink

I studied the dutch masters in Art History at school, however I think I can safely say that Chimene is a Dutch Mistress!! (I think Vink translates as bird...please correct me if I am wrong!!)

This is one of a triptych of hauntingly beautiful layouts from Chimenes blog header. She also happens to be very clever at using photoshop, as well as taking incredible photographs!

(Do you think she is going through a blue period like Van Gogh? If so it's working for me I love the depth this colour adds to this monochromatic layout)

If you would like to see Chimenes own choice of her top ten favourites for 2008 just click here and if like me you adore the 1920's then you'll be delighted to stumble across a series of beautiful retro layouts like this one throughout the rest of her blog here.

Studying art has never been so much fun, so sit back, enjoy and just think no hard wooden seats and boring old teachers here!!

More layering and popping things off the page - texture, texture, texture!

Hi and a Happy New Year from me! I hope it brings you everything that you wish for!

I just love her style, all her work is finished with such professionalism and is always a pleasure to look at. The embellishment of her cards is always a joy too.
