Altered keys, beer mats, and a gorgeous little bird. It speaks for itself, and I urge you to delve deeper, and get inspired. Thank you Pattie for letting us in your world!

I introduce Ravenpainting from Lori Saul

I came upon this talented artist, at Ravenpainting, through my challenge blog at DragonsDream Tag it On, when she began to take up my themes. She produces wonderful pieces, and I want to share her latest entry with you. My theme this week has been "Eternal Goddess" and this lovely tag was what she came up with. Striking isn't it??!!

What a lovely name, too, Lori Saul... she is an artist who likes to express herself in as many ways as possible, and I can only share with you, a fraction of what she creates. Dominoes, soldered work, digital, stamped etc etc. She says she is a wife, mother and lover of all things beautiful., and the computer has given her a new voice for that expression.

These dominoes were made using alcohol inks and stamps. The colours she uses are so vibrant.

The Forest Spirit was created digitally using many different elements, including ferns from Lori Saul's own garden.

This piece is one of my favourites. She made a fimo doll face and photographed it. Then she added it to the batik collage she had made. Such a lovely interpretation of the theme which inspired her.

Woo, this one is so exciting!! So vibrant and exotic... layers of paint, fabric, tissue, ribbons and such go to make this piece. So intricate...

I chose this one for the form and colour, as well as the oriental subject matter (well, nothing new there then!!) I have found so much detail in this piece, it looks like silk.

And last, but not least, glass!! Soldered glass candle holder, cut, ground and fitted together into this wonderfully colourful shape. Lori Saul, I love your work and I think everyone who visits your blog will agree with me. ENJOY and take the time!!!

Firstly I would like to apologise for my absence.....I have been blog surfing earnestly but I seem to keep on tripping over the same blogs everywhere I go. And when I do find one I love my Inspirational colleagues beat me to it!! (I guess we all have such good taste lol!)

All of my recent finds are absolutely gorgeous but unfortunately many of them have already been featured on Inspirational.........until one day last week when I nearly fell off my chair because I had stumbled across this new one!!

Louise aka Loolabelle has a "unique" style it is hers and hers only and is oh so refreshing to see.

Louise has developed her creative and artistic style during the last couple of years whilst she has been on numerous international design teams, however there is no point in me giving her layouts a fancy speech as the simplicity of them speaks for themselves.

So without any further ado please go and visit an uninterrupted view.

Magical matching makes from Janny.

Today i have the pleasure of introducing a very talented lady called Janiel Corley, a mother of three, a freelance designer, and an all round amazing crafter from Arizona in the US.
.
Janiel, or "Janny" as she is more often called, has a whole blog of lovely work, but today i wanted to show you some matching makes that she has made using the same stamp.
.

I love it when people make matching items, i like to think the stamps are getting a varied life too when they are used for more than just a card.
.
As well as this gorgeous card below , Janny has made a beautifully decorated windowed boxalope for it....
.
.
Then comes this fantastic box purse, how lovely is this? I love the effect of the crackle glaze over the image....

.
With the same stamp, a matchbook notepad...
.
.
As i said, Janny is talented in so many areas of crafts, evident by this lovely candle to go with the rest of the makes...
.
.
Stunning makes from a very crafty lady there, so please take a trip over to her wonderful blog, "Scrappyjan Designs" and learn more about these lovely pieces. You won't be disappointed and there are plenty more makes to be inspired by.
.
Thank you Janny.

Meet the amazing Anne Kristine

I'm so happy to show off one of my favourite scrapbookers, please meet Anne Kristine from Norway, also known as aksh :) Anne Kristine has been featured here once before with her amazing Christmas card in 2008, but she really deserves a bigger place here!

I have now been looking in her blog for days, and everytime I visit I find some work that captures my heart. I'm waiting for a rainyday now, with no work or husband at home, just to spend hours and hours studying her work. She is just amazing!

Anne Kristine makes beautiful cards, just look at these - wouldn't you love to recieve one of these in the mail?

Isn't this card made for her grandson fun? It's so cool how she has included all the little things he like in the card, and still made a little art piece out of it:)

As I'm pretty content making a nice front of a card, she even makes small artwork inside:

The cards are lovely - but so are also her LO's.
I'm not quite sure how I would describe her style, but I guess it would be hybrid between vintage and clean and simple. This is what I think makes Anne Kristine's work so special. In a time when vintage and lots of layers is very popular in Norway she kind of restrains her self, and only make the small hints of layers and vintage. And it just works so beautifuly:

Don't you just love the effect of the note paper peeking through the background paper, the little lace by the photo and her beautiful flowers?

This one just speaks for it self:
This page about Anne Kristine's granddaughter who want so learn to read is just so great!
Doesn't it seem like you are reading a book?
It's just so cleaver!
This is also an good example of the vintage style meeting a simplier style:
The way she has included the old fabric with the lace in a LO with more bright colours is so cool. I loooove the effect!

Anne Krisine is really good at including old pieces of fabric. Looking at her pages makes me regret all the fabric I have trown away over the years, and makes me long for fleamarkets...
Even if Anne Kristine mostly scrapbook in delicate colours, she also have some LOs with more color. This one is just way too cute:

Though delicat colours, Anne Kristine has lots of colours in her details.
And her details - wow! They are small pieces of art in them self!

I just love the effect with the dollie that she has painted with gesso, and the papercup (that you use while baking cupcakes)

In my head Anne Kristine must have a really beautiful home!
I'm imagening it as her scrapbooking, simple but with lots of vintage effects and some spots of bright colors. And her walls are decorated with beautiful wallhangings, made by herself of course:) I never make wallhangings of my own, but I sure will try after seeing her work:

And this calendar is just way too lovely to just last for one year:

As usual I'd like to show you my favourites of her work, but this time it was so hard so choose, so I have to show you two.

The first is this home decor project.
Anne Kristine has used an old jar (of a kind that is very common in Norway) and inside is a picture of her beautiful granddaughter. She has made her into a fairy by adding wings made of old book pages - pretty smart!

My other fav is this layout of her daughter in New York:
The way she has made her background almost makes me feel how cold it must be.
And I love the way she has made it so simple, but still very funky in way - perfect for a picture of a girl that age!

Make sure you have lots of time when you go and visit her blog, and you can just as well add her to your bloglist, as this is one scrapbooker you don't want to forget!
Rembember to leave her some kind words and give her the credit she really deserves:)

Introducing My Muse

Hi everyone! I'd like to introduce to you to another one of my favorite bloggers: Deb Rymer and her blog My Muse. Isn't that a great blog name?

I've been an admirer of her cards for over 6 months. She has a great design style that is clean and simple. I always know I will like what I see on her blog. She makes card design look effortless. Here are some of my recent favorites.

These cards are stunning! Look how she crimped the kraft-colored cardstock to mimic the cardboard sleeve of a Starbucks-type coffee cup. Brilliant!

The following card is perfection! I love the buttons flowers and the black and white polka dot circle. I also love the details of the Swiss dots embossed card base.

I love this card Deb made for her 13-year old son.

This one is another great clean and simple card. I love the repeated images and the dew drops.

With Father's Day coming up this Sunday for a lot of countries in the world, this is good inspiration to create a card for your father.

Stop by Deb's blog today and tell her you saw her on Inspirational. Have a good one!

Ribbon frames and gingerbread delights...

I only found the amazing work of Claire Brennan at Waltzing Mouse Makes this week and oh boy have I been missing out big time?
There is a wonderful simplicity to Claire's work and as I scrolled back through her blog I found that she seems to continually come up with really innovative ideas and creations. Just wonderful work.
Take a look at the amazing ribbon frame used on both these cards. If you would like to try this out - I have and it's really easy - Claire has a very easy to follow tutorial HERE.
Notice the cute gingerbread man peeping out of that window well it seems that Claire has just designed these stamps and oh my they are just way too cute for words. Take a look at some of the fabulous things Claire has made with them...

It was so hard to pick just a few items from Claire's blog. You really need to take a look for yourselves, but here are a couple of things that I particularly liked....
A cool way to use one of the nestability frame dies?

Love the very simple way ribbon is used on this card and fabulous cut out branch - so simple and yet so effective.

And finally a fantastic Rapunzel Tower and card. What an amazing way to present a gift?
Do visit Claire at Waltzing Mouse Makes as there were so many cards and things I wanted to show that there just wasn't space for here.

Pretty pretty paper!

A Wonderful, Elegant Scrapper

Today, I want to introduce you to an amazing woman. Crystal Brothers. She is very happily married to her best friend. She has a very active, very adorable 21 month old little boy, and they are expecting their second blessing in July. I don't know how she manages to find the time to papercraft, but fortunately for us she does! She scraps to perserve her families memories, but what she doesn't realize is that she is inspiring many people with her 'real' layouts. They are unique, and personal, but most of all, they are honest. Without knowing her, you can peek into her life from her layouts. I have the pleasure of knowing Crystal personally, and she is in fact the real deal. She is very humble, and is probably reading this right now, blushing :D But she is so fascinating, and I enjoy every new creation she displays, and I absolutely love her faith and her love of life. Here are some of her amazing layouts. Remember to go check Crystal's blog out at Crafty Scrapper Mom

Also, be sure to go by and wish Crystal and her husbnad all of the best with the delivery of their sweet precious baby.

Planted In Joy

I am delighted to have stumbled upon another treasure and I can't wait to share this rare find with you. I'd like to introduce Diane Stader.
She is a southern belle from the beautiful state of Tennessee. Recently retired, a wife, mom, mother-in-law, daughter, friend and totally devoted Child of God. You read one post and you will be overwhelmed with love from a lady we will probably never meet in person. I already feel like we have been good friends forever. I love when that happens!!!
She has so many beautiful creations I didn't know where to begin so I started with Thanksgiving because Diane is thankful for everything and everyone in her life. I love fall colors and so does Diane. Take a look at this beautiful card. I always have to enlarge the pictures so I can see all the layers and folds that makes each card unique.

Lots of times all we need is a bit of encouragement and that's what Diane is sending with this exquisite creation. Just a note to say I'm thinking of you.

Everyone who is into cardmaking loves Christmas. Why??? Maybe because red and green are so readily available. Well, take alook at these next two cards. Beautiful and elegant and I don't see red or green. Just looking at these I get such a peaceful feeling.

Winter is a time when life slows down a bit ( at least it does here where I live) and everyone is looking forward to the first signs of spring. That little dandelion one finds underneath the snow. The flock of robins that happen to stop by your front yard or that vase of colorful flowers that has it's special place in the middle of the Easter dinner table. Love the bright vibrant colors. They represent a promise to us that spring is here.

Birthdays are plentiful and Diane seems to be ready. Whether it's family or friends, they all are remembered. The difference in these two cards shows you just a bit of the artistry this lady uses. I love the diversity she uses with each card.

With Father's Day just around the corner I had to showcase this card. Diane makes that fishing line look real. One can almost feel the tug of that big bass on that hook. Won't have to go far to look for dinner.

I invite everyone to stop by Diane's blog and not only flip through the cards but read her posts. Each one is a testimony of this woman's life. She is an extraordinary lady with such a big heart and one of the happiest people I have ever happened upon. I thank you Diane, for letting me share a bit of your world with the rest of the whole world. I have enjoyed your blog tremendously and I'm sure everyone else will also. I look forward to visiting you often as I am now a follower. Diane is truly PLANTED IN JOY. I'll close out this chapter with a phrase I'm sure is not from the 60's. Diane....YOU ROCK!!!!
