Inspirational Craft Raffle

It is now time to decide who will be the winner of the lovely handmade crafts that you can see in the picture, I have deliberately tried to not show them completely as I don't want to ruin the surprise for the winner but at the same time I wanted to show the beautiful creations that I received.

There were only 6 entries for the craft raffle but it is quality that matters, not quantity and believe me the winner will be very pleased with the beautiful creations that will be coming their way.

Thank you so much to Dawn, Gina, Juliet, Lorna, Sheila & Zandra for joining in with the first craft raffle on Inspirational.

I am now going to put all six names into a list randomiser on random.org and whoever is at number one will be the winner so I will do that now before publishing this post

Congratulations Sheila you are the lucky winner !!
Thanks once again to all of the participants :)

Meet One HapE CraftE MomE

There are people in this world that their demeanor is so sweet, and their spirit is so joyful, that you are drawn to them. Chelsea is one of the dearest, most genuine people I know. Her style is so graceful and beautiful. What comes to mine is classic. Her style matches her personality, and her layouts reflect the life that she has been blessed with. Every project that she creates, she pours herself into and she definitely leaves her mark. Chelsea loves to add texture and dimension to her projects by using the Making Memories Edger, Colorbox Chesnut Roan Chalk ink and her sewing machine. They never fail her! Make sure to drop by her blog HapEMomE, and I hope that you will bookmark her and keep returning. She is such a faithful Christian woman, who stands convicted in her faith. She is such an inspiration to me daily. Thank you Chelsea for being you, and thank you for showing people Jesus' love for the world. The world is a brighter place with you in it :)
Here are some of her absolutely gorgeous projects. She does mainly do layouts, and you will see why :)

I hope that you have enjoyed meeting Chelsea. Make sure to go by her blog for more of her wonderful work. Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Shaped cards - pure joy...by Peet!

I know Peet at Scrapalbum was featured on Inspirational last August, but how could I not show these incredible shaped cards that she has created recently. They are just way too good to miss.

From crowns to circles to stunning stars Peet's creations just blow your socks off with their incredible style. I have just picked out one or two of my favourites, but you must visit Peet's blog Scrapalbum to check out her amazing work.
She is truly 'inspirational'.

Meet Hannapanna:)

I have just come across this oh-so-talented Norwegian scrapbooker, Hanna, who calles her self Hannapanna.
She's not the girl who post many, many layouts in her blog, but when you are so talented as her, just a few will do to give you lots of inspiration:)

This is one of her newest work. Look at the little details like the one in the top right corner, and the black stripes around the pattern paper - just brilliant!

This is a different style for Hanna, as she mostly scrapbook in a kind of vintage layered style or in a quite colorful layered style. I hope we will se more of the simple style though, as she masters it SO well.

Hanna just won one of the challenges at the blog Scrapping the Music Norway with this layout.
What just capture my heart in this is the way she has taken the closeness between the persons in the photo and emphasizes it through the torn paper across the photo and the flowers. It's just beautiful!

Hanna is very good at finding good colours to create feelings at those who look at her layouts.
Like this one, from her bachelorettparty. Doesn't the colours just make you feel the happiness and love from her girlfriends?

The lace and roses makes the layout very feminine, and that's what a bachelorettparty can be - after all it is a girls night out:)

In Norway our national costumes are kind of sacred, and treated with lot of respect for their history and their beauty. In this layout Hanna shows off one of the costumes from the west cost.
Her choice of colours and embellishments makes an ancient feel about it.

I also love the little detail with the eyelets and flipped paper (just below the title) as this reminds me of how many of our national costums actually looks like (see photo below...)

Hanna has a beautiful daughter, and she makes bright and fun layouts with her.
This green and red one really catched my eye:

This one of her daughter in a crocodile costume is just way too funny!
The photo is just sooo fun, and the embellishments kind of make me think about toys - very clever!

She also make more delicate layouts.
I love this one!

And this is possible my favourite layout:

I just love the picture of her daughter sticking two fingers up her nose.
Haven't we all seen a kid do this? And the title says: "Are you digging for gold?"
It's just too funny:)

So all of you - go and visit sweet Hanna. Enjoy her work and give her the credit she deserves:)

The Squareheaded Stamper

When I first spotted the creations of Brandi Wiggins-Côté (The Squareheaded Stamper) last year, I was hooked. Unlike me, she's the perfect mix of paper crafter; both stamper and scrapper. She lives in Québec. I love how she always ends her blog entries with the phrase "Ske-doosh."

Look at this first project. She altered an inexpensive box and created a gorgeous recipe box for her friend, Annabel.

I also admire Brandi's scrapbooking talent. She makes it look effortless. I wish I had some of this talent.

I love this card; it's perfection.

Brandi made this next mini-album for her mom. It is stunning! I only included one photo, but you must check out the rest of the project here!

And finally, look at this mini-page; isn't her son adorable? I love how she incorporates stitching and doodling. Please stop by Brandi's blog today and tell her you saw her on Inspirational. Have a good one! To quote Brandi, "Ske-doosh!"

A Winding Country Road

Inspiration comes in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes it's a color, a small piece of cloth, a bird sitting on the fence, a certain smell, a laugh in a crowd that brings back a memory. That's the greatest thing about scrapping or card making and everything in between. Everyone is different. Everyone and every creation is unique in it's own way. We might all use the same kit but everything we put together is in some little way, different. Don't you love this wonderful life? Well, I want you to meet Amber Goble, The Country Scrapper. This is one young lady that squeezes every second out of everyday and
uses every scrap of paper until its gone.

Amber honestly is a "Country Girl" and wears that title proudly. The picture above is from her backyard. What an inspiration is that? She has been a scrapper for many years but only card making and blogging for almost a year now. I love the little snowman and his Christmas tree. If you know Amber you will know that she is a perfectionist. Every little paper edge has to be just right.

She loves all the Holidays. Says each one has so many different colors to work with.

A valentine here and valentine there. She can't forget the doggies though, they get their treats first. How cute is that?

Amber tends to work with the brightest of colors. She makes every item just stand out as if that's the only one she has ever made. She will confess that Easter is her favorite time of year. The smell of spring in the air, the last melting snowpile and her little farm comes to life with new life. The way it's suppose to be.

She loved making this little purse. It was something new to her. Love the ribbon and how she brought the red to tie in.

Here she put together a mini album of her little family. The doggies always have to be there.

Did I mention cooking??? Well, she is one that loves the smell of oven baked goodies. These Christmas Cookies look good enough to eat. Check out this homemade chicken chowder in it's own little bread bowl. Would I try that? No Way. I might enjoy eating it!!!!

Just think...all this began with an idea and a piece of paper. Her scrapbook layouts are awesome. I'm sharing a few of these with you. The first one is a dog she rescued from an abusive owner. She is definitely in doggie heaven now!!!

The 2nd is her and her hubby on Easter morning getting ready to go to Sunrise Service.

The 3rd is with her Papa, he is truly her hero.

I've left loads of items on her blog so don't take my word. Go check out her beautiful creations. Amber just happens to be my daughter and I know she is sure an inspiration to me. If not for her, I wouldn't be crafting at all. I told her all those years I picked up paper, scissors and glue she had me in training. I just didn't realize it at the time.

Inkydoodle

I would like to introduce a new face to Inspiration. Korin Sutherland of Inkydoodle is not only an inspiration to me as a stamper but she is an inspiration to me in her faith as well as her dreams. She is not only a stamper but an artist as well. Almost two years ago Korin wanted a knight stamp to make invitations for her little boy's birthday invites, she could not find one she liked so she drew one up herself. This started the company that goes by the name Sweet 'n Sassy stamps. There you can find the many stamps illustrated by Korin as well as some wonderful scripture stamps. Below you will find some of her work, these are clear stamps and digital stamps that she has illustrated herself along with a card made with one of the many scripture sets you can find in her store.

I know that Korin will be an Inspiration to you as well, please stop by her blog Inkydoodle and her store frequently to see the wonderful stamps she has to offer. She has also created a new sketch challenge blog for all those addicted challenge stampers ~ The Sweet Stop~to get some Sweet inspiration!

Beautiful Layouts by the very talented Tara Orr...

Tara's blog is a great source of inspiration, aren't these pages beautiful!!
There is so much more to see so make sure you click HERE and go and say hi, this is definitely one blog that I'll be following ;)

The beautiful work of Ania z poddasza.

Recently i was lucky enough to be introduced to a blog that had to go straight on my favourites list, and today i have the pleasure of showcasing the work of an extremely talented crafter from Poland, Ania z poddasza.

Ania has been crafting since 2003, and although a jewellery maker first, Ania says that "scrap booking is her second love....but it is a very strong love"! This is very apparent when you look at what she creates.

Ania's blog is called "PODDASZE", and for those who do not know, "poddasze" means "attic" in Polish. Thankfully Ania does not keep her makes shut away in the attic, for these were meant for everyone to see and be inspired by.

Ania is one of those crafters who spends time on the finer details in her artwork, and this is reflected in her gorgeous creations. As well as the fantastic use of softer colours, i was amazed to see how lovely a piece can look with little or no colour at all.

Look at the freshness of this page below...

Making great use of so many materials, amongst other things Ania has made some absolutely stunning albums which anyone would be glad to treasure. Ania also enjoys sewing, decoupage and felting, but loves to bring all her skills into her makes.

Ania says she loves to create at night or early morning with a nice cup of Earl Grey tea.....crafting and a cuppa....it just doesn't get any better than that does it? :)

So whilst you take a wander over to Ania's blog " PODDASZE " to see her other gorgeous makes, i would like to say a big thank you to Ania for allowing me to feature her work here on Inspirational.

Enjoy :)

Dutch Stamptramp

Come feast your eyes ....

One of the many inspirational crafters I have followed for a long time is Nellie Van leeuwen. Nellie originates from Holland, she creates the most amazing backgrounds and her stamping is one of the best around. If you haven't stopped by Nellie's already, please do.

Nellie also hosts her own challenge site every Friday called "Make a Moo or Two"

Some more examples of the fantastic backgrounds Nellie creates. I love her ability to blend/shade colours so perfectly.

I'd Like You To Meet "Nana"

Beth lives in Virginia and is a wife, mom and "Nana" to three very much loved grandchildren. She loves crafting and cooking. She also mentions that she is retired and after following her blog for almost a year I know she couldn't work and craft the way she does. Crafting for her is a FULL time job and after you visit her blog, Nana's Memories And More, you will know what I'm talking about. She started blogging in 2007 and when you start looking at her creations you won't be able to stop. So get a cup of tea or coffee, sit back, relax and listen to her wonderful music while visiting her awesome blog.

Beth uses techniques I have never heard of but the best part is, she gives all the info you need to learn these on you own. This flower was created using a technique called Faux Vellum and chalked each layer of the flower. Beautiful!!

I'm a country girl and this majestic rooster caught my eye. He is standing there looking like royalty in the barnyard.

I adore all of these Christmas creations. I couldn't choose a favorite so I'm sharing these three. She makes ornaments and stamps glass blocks. I honestly think she might be Santa's little helper.

Take a look at this cute little girly project. She says to place a card inside, some tea bags in the second pocket and use for a special tea party!!! Sounds great to me.

What bird wouldn't want to take up residence in this beautiful house? Love the colors and the layout. I think I'd keep this inside for some springy decoration.

I think one definition for Nana is ...someone who makes soft, warm, afghans. Isn't this adorable? Beth you are one talented lady. I thank you for letting me share your unique crafting creations with the world. I encourage everyone to visit Beth's blog and look at all her amazing work. There just isn't enough space here to even get started.

Meet the oh so productive Vibeke

Noone of the scrapbookers I have on my bloglists update their blog as often as Vibeke. Almost everyday, or at least every second day, there is a new post with some new layout. But even if she scrapbook a lot, she does not lower the quality of her work.

Vibeke is a scrapbooker who doesn't stick to one style, she does them all:) But in all her one way...

Freestyle:

Colorblocking:

Clean & simple:

Vibeke loves paint, and when she don't have a background that works for her, she simply make one, like here where she's used a mesh to create the red border around the cardboard:

Vibeke is in love with corrugated cardboard. She uses it a lot, and in many colors, with or without paint:)

But all togheter it's the colours and details that makes Vibeke's work so special:

And this is what I believe is my favourite layout (it's hard to choose just one though...):

The colours here are just soo good together, and the picture (and the girl) is so beautiful.

You inspire so many Vibeke!
And if you want to see more of Vibeke's work, visit her blog - and do so regulary as she updates it so often:)

How Talented Can One Girl Be?

Well, that depends. If you are talking about Rebecca Daniels, then there is no end to the talent that dwells in her. I can count on one hand the times that I have seen an artist, who is not only able to excel in every area, but Rebecca does not just excel, she sets standards. This beautiful woman actually does not see why the excitement around her work. She is a very eclecic artist, who uses a large variety of medums. She creates cards, she scraps, she paints, and she creates jewlery. Take a look at the different creations that has designed. Make sure to check out Rebecca's blog, and I believe you will be just as amazed as I always am to see what she has been up to. Here is just an appetizer,

The pill box from a repurposed eclipse mint can with rubber stamps, polymer clay, and acrylic paint.

This is made from Precious Metal Clay, which is pliable and works much like clay, but when fired in a kiln is 99.9% pure silver. To add the texture, I used rubber stamps. I also cut several rubber stamps from erasers to impress in the clay to make some of the links in this bracelet. The antiquing is done with Liver of Sulfur. After I made this bracelet, I was hooked on jewelry making and is one of the pieces that inspired me to become a PMC certified artisan. (I am a certified PMC artisan through Rio Grande - received in 2008).

Butterfly Princess - This is a pendant I made with a rubber stamp (Stampin Up!) and a product called BronzClay - similar to PMC, except instead of fine silver, it's bronze after it's fired in the kiln.

Maya Road chipboard book that I decorated over my vacation in April.

Book Bling - Book mark with envelope. 2 photos. Made with rubber stamps, various embellishments, and office supply hardware.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend. Have a wonderful Mother's Day to all of our Mom's out there. Thank you for stopping by.

Meet you at Laurels Place?

From the day I started visiting other people blogs, I have been following Laurels Blog, 'Laurels Place'. The cards she produces are amazing, and I have always loved her style.
Laurel has a clean, bold style, but also adds the odd touch of elegance too. Just look at these fabulous creations...

Laurel is a teacher, as well as a Close To My Heart consultant, and a mother of two, so it is a miricle she has the time to do any crafting, let alone produce such wonderful pieces!

Laurel often uses sketches and challenges to inspire her, and this way she shows us how a simple base can be transformed into something beautiful!

So why not join nearly a hundred other followers, and take a look at Laurels Place. You are sure to be inspired, whatever your style!

Please Meet Viola

Here is a detail from the piece above. Such beautiful little bits she has included!

Viola, from Germany, is very talented, as we can see here with her work. Her blog, Viola, is well worth a visit, but unfortunately she does not tell us HOW she does these beautiful pieces... below, is a lovely piece made for her mother.

Viola's mixed media work is so beautiful. This piece, below, is very powerful, I think. Such detail, as I said before. I notice she uses this lady a couple of times, so she appears to be a favourite.

Her work has several pieces featuring birds. Here, below, are just a few. I LOVE the green one, and I understand Viola does not do green that much!!! I feel she should, don't you?

Sorry I can't give you any more information about Viola, as she does not tell us much about herself. However, her work speaks loud and clear, so please go and take a look, it's well worth your time - ENJOY!!
Love and Light

Tethered 2 Home

Hello, Inspirational readers! Today I'd like to showcase another one of my favorite paper crafters. Amy from Tethered2Home is amazingly talented! She creates cards, scrapbooks pages, and alters 3D items. She lives in Ottawa, Canada. I love the digital scrapping and hybrid card-making she's doing recently.

I've been familiar with her work for about a year. I'm very inspired by her. I'd love to include more digi-elements in my card-making. This first card is a Mother's Day card for her mother. It includes digital elements. I love it!

The following card is one of my favorites of her recent creations. I love the boldness of the white letters on a black background.

I love the following digi-pages Amy created with her son, Liam, as the focal point. Very sweet!

And finally, here are some 3D items Amy created recently. She used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and some etching cream to alter this IKEA lamp.

Stop by her blog and tell Amy you saw her on Inspirational. Have a great day!

Maygreen Fairies to make your heart melt!

Just like fairies in real life.....you find them you lose them you find them again........

I'm sure I loved fairies as a child and then I became too cool for them as a teenager. As an adult I now secretly melt inside when I find beautiful artworks like these!! So when I discovered Maygreen Fairies with the cutest images tucked into little boxes, dancing in glass jars and popping their heads over a bookmark I suddenly felt like a little girl again.

Amanda is a homegrown talent of an international standard...she has been published many times and her work can be seen in Lisa Kettells Art Circus book. A book for seriously talented altered artists.

I just adore the translucent yet realistic quality to these little beings!!

From boudouir babes to bottles Amanda will alter a modern photo or use a vintage original to create her images. She is a technical whiz with photoshop too and can turn an everyday photo into a magical masterpiece. Now wouldn't you just love to scrapbook with these!!

I can't believe that I just keep finding all these fab blogs!
One of my new favorite obsessions with crafting (you know we all get them!) is Copic markers and this lady uses them fantastically!!! I just love all her shading and use of colour.

Don't you just love the layering and her photographs are great (wish all my pictures came out that well!)

Go and check out the rest of her work and more pictures of these great cards over at her blog

Her Feathered Nest Has It All

When I first started checking out other people's blogs back in October, Jana Eubank's blog was one of the first that I went to. I remember thinking that one day I wanted to be able to scrap like her :) Jana has such an amazing style, and that is quite apparent considering the Design Teams that she resides on Bella Blvd. Guest Artista, Mix It Up!, My Little Shoebox, Noel Mignon, Scrapperie, and her newest Urban Anthology. Her work is not only phenomenol, but her work is genuine. It is sincere, just as her journaling. Her creativity leaves me in awestruck each time I visit her site. Some of my most favorite layouts ever, have been created by Jana. Remember her name, because I have a feeling we will see much more of Jana in the future :) Make sure to go to her blog for so much more inspiration :) So here are some of her stunning creations.

Cindy is One Happy Stamper!

Happy NSD! With a Dash of Breathtaking!

Aphra Bolyer is a scrapbook designer. I hesitate to even call her a scrapbook designer because....Well, she is so much more. Each one of her layouts are extremely precise and every individual They are exquisite. They grab the imagination with the colors and designs. I have followed Aphra for a while now, and her work has also stuck with me because it is breathtaking. It is stunning, it pops, and she is so humble about the amount of talent she has. Aphra, has the talent to place each embellishment perfectly on a piece of paper. Her layouts always look so elegant. She is a person that I feel should definitely be recognized for having an Inspirational Craft Blog, because I know personally what an inspiration she has been to me, and countless others. So without further ado, I am honored to bring the work of Aphra Bolyer from My Scrappy Life. Make sure to stop by her blog and to see her newest creations.
Here are only a few of her amazing designs.

Ornamental...

Wow, there have been some fantastic pieces of work being shown on here, it's been a delight to look through them all whilst I have been waiting for this lady to get back in touch with me.

The blog I would like to share with you today belongs to Ruth, and it is a jewellery blog. When I saw her jewellery, I knew I wanted to share it with you.

Isn't this just beautiful? I would love to wear this tiara if I was getting married.

And this necklace is just simply stunning!
Black and white are my sort of colours, so this bracelet is just my thing.
I hope you have fun browsing through the blog.. I know I did! Thank you Ruth for letting me feature your work.
Lots of love,
Jo x
