Maygreen Fairies to make your heart melt!

Just like fairies in real life.....you find them you lose them you find them again........

I'm sure I loved fairies as a child and then I became too cool for them as a teenager. As an adult I now secretly melt inside when I find beautiful artworks like these!! So when I discovered Maygreen Fairies with the cutest images tucked into little boxes, dancing in glass jars and popping their heads over a bookmark I suddenly felt like a little girl again.

Amanda is a homegrown talent of an international standard...she has been published many times and her work can be seen in Lisa Kettells Art Circus book. A book for seriously talented altered artists.

I just adore the translucent yet realistic quality to these little beings!!

From boudouir babes to bottles Amanda will alter a modern photo or use a vintage original to create her images. She is a technical whiz with photoshop too and can turn an everyday photo into a magical masterpiece. Now wouldn't you just love to scrapbook with these!!

Inspiration At The Paper Posey

This is my second post, and I am so excited to share with you tdoay this amazing woman, and the creations that she handmakes. They are not only inspirational, they are glorious. Each detail is precise, every piece of glitter perfectly placed. Her eye for the littlest item was a marvel. Her creations are more like masterpieces than just crafts. I would like to introduce you to Shellye from the Paper Posey and The Papered Cottage. I was very blessed to become acquainted with Shellye, and even though I loved her layouts and such, I was very clueless as to what she was most capable of. One day, while blog browsing, I came upon hers. She had posted some of her amazing creations, and I was fascinated and overtaken by the beauty. The complete vintage, intricate designs capture a time period long forgotten. In each design, you can see how delicate she has been with each creation. Here, let her work speak for it self:

If after experiencing these, you would like to discover more about Shellye and her designs, please click on the links above. Let me say also that the genuine beauty in her creations is because it is directly linked to her own.

Thank you, once again, for stopping by. I hope that you haved enjoyed Shellye's work as much as I do, and I hope that you will visit her links as there are more treasures waiting.

I want to share with you my first inspiration ...

the fabulous TIM HOLTZ

and I am sure that he has been the inspiration and continues to be the inspiration for many, many, many other crafters too!

I took some classes at my LSS and was introduced to Distress Pads, wow these were just so versatile and just perfect for grunging, distressing and making layouts look vintage. I have recently started to use them in colouring stamped images. I then very quickly started using Stickles I just adore the subtle or in your face effect these glitters can give you, and now Tim has brought out Distress Stickles in all colours of the Distress pads, ooh I am in heaven. Pop over to Tim's blog to get inspiration, tips and techniques on how to use all his products

I was checking out his blog the other night! Boy that man is busy he has been to so many shows, classes, demos, workshops, etc. all over the world.

He has an amazing new feature added to his website, Demo Vids which will show an amazing bunch of new techniques and product videos. I had a look and they are fantastic, clear and easy to follow, some of them take a little while to up load as they are coming from You-Tube, but please do be patient, they are so worth the wait!

As Tim hasn't been in his studio a lot just recently, (he has being doing a lot of traveling) I have decided to showcase some of his amazing 12 Tags of Christmas!
